A vacant title and two contenders
The official WBA schedule lists Floyd Schofield against Lucas Bahdi in Chicago on Saturday, October 10, 2026, for its vacant world lightweight championship. NY FIGHTS’ card announcement identifies Wintrust Arena and a main event scheduled for twelve rounds, promoted by Golden Boy and Most Valuable Promotions and advertised on DAZN.
The WBA lists their pre-fight records as 19 wins without defeat for Schofield and 20 without defeat for Bahdi. Those are their records going in, not a result from tonight.
Another championship to look out for
The same official schedule includes Ricardo Sandoval against Sergio Mendoza for the WBA flyweight title. NY FIGHTS also identifies Sandoval’s defence of the WBA and WBC belts. Check the updated card: this article uses the confirmed Sandoval–Mendoza pairing rather than earlier announcements involving another opponent.
If watching from Europe, check the time DAZN displays for your country. A Chicago event date can fall in the following morning in Europe. The start of a broadcast and the main event ring walks are not necessarily the same time either.
Viewing questions, not a prediction
One way to follow the main event is to watch who establishes distance with the jab, who makes the other boxer reset their feet, and how each exits after attacking. These are questions for the viewer, not claims about action that has already happened.
This preview was checked on October 10 and names no winner, injury or outcome. Announced bouts can change. Results require the end of each contest and official confirmation; the fighters’ unbeaten records cannot tell us how this one will finish.
